Easy Knit Baby Hat




Materials: Worsted Weight yarn, Size 8 Knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge, yarn needle
Gauge: 10 st= 2', 11 rows= 2"

With Color A, Cast on 70 stitches
Knit 1, Knit 2, Purl 2 to last stitch, Knit last stitch
Knit1, knit the knit stitches & purl the purl stitches as they face you for a total of 10 rows Color A
Switch to Color B, continue in pattern for 25 additional rows
Begin decreases
K1, (K2, P2, K2tog, P2) to last stitch, Knit last stitch
K1, knit the knit stitches & purl the purl stitches as they face you, K1
K1, (K2tog, P2, K1, P1)to last st, knit last stitch
K1, knit the knit stitches & purl the purl stitches as they face you, knit last stitch
K2(K2tog, K1, P1, K2) to end
K1, P1, P2tog (P1, P2tog, P2tog) to end
K1, K2tog to end
Cut thread, leaving 12" tail
Thread yarn needle with tail end of yarn & thread through remaining loops on knitting needle
Pull tight & sew seam closed

Very easy & this hat can actually be made in under 2 hours.
