To Be Fair, I Needed Almost All of It

I had a lovely time shopping with Miss Bea today :) And boy, can the two of us do some fabric shopping. Neither clouds nor rain nor grumpy chauffeurs (thank you, dad) kept us from our appointed spending.

We hit Joann's first. The NFL fabric is the backing for my next quilt. Thank goodness for 50% off coupons. I really really really wanted that fabric, but did not want to pay full price for it. Turns out half of my bobbins didn't work with my new machine, so I picked up some replacements. I didn't actually need the yard of batik or the novelty FQ's, but, um, they were on sale.

Spring Thing Reminder and shopping

The sun is shining but don't let it fool you! I went out to feed the animals and my hands were numb by the time I came back in. Brrr! This is the perfect time to dream of spring and to be working on your challenge from the March tenth meeting. All of you had better be working on your projects {insert evil glare at Aimee here}! Just in case you might try and claim forgetfulness or lost papers, here's the info for you again :)

See how helpful I am!

I haven't started on my Spring Thing yet but I did finish sorting through the two huge boxes of fabric I have been hoarding. I fit all of the fabric I am keeping in the new plastic storage drawers I bought last week. It feels good to have everything where I can see it and get to it. Mom received some odds and ends that I didn't want to hang onto anymore so it made her day too.

Also I am so excited about what I bought Saturday when Aimee and I went to lunch and a quick stop at Joann's... I FINALLY bought myself a cutting mat, large ruler and new rotary cutter. They are sewing tools I've always wanted but been to cheap to purchase. Well, the 25% off coupon helped and I just decided to go for it!
Isn't it pretty! Also, I found a few fabrics that I just might be able to use in my Spring Thing Project. What do you think?

New Store in Town! Shopping!

After our last Knotty Stitchers meeting I had ran into town to dry some clothes and found myself checking out a new store that open up! And here are some photos of what I found and brought back home with me!

I also fell in love with a basket that I didn't get at that time, then dreamed for two day of it. So had my daughter take me back into town today, praying the whole time that the basket would still be there. To my amazement, it was! Thank-You, God!:)

I'm so happy that this new store has open in our little town!
